This role utilizes the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation) and document in the electronic medical record  </li>\n <li>Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including diet modifications, supplements, nutrition support, and patient education  </li>\n <li>Monitor patient progress using clinical indicators (labs, weight, outcomes) and adjust care plans accordingly  </li>\n <li>Deliver nutrition education to patients, families, staff, and community using tailored materials and approaches  </li>\n <li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in rounds/meetings, and communicate with providers to optimize care  </li>\n <li>Support training of staff, students, and new hires; contribute to policy updates and quality improvement initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>After January 1, 2024 - Master’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. </li>\n <li>Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024, are eligible with a Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. </li>\n <li>Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program, or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Preferred: One year of experience as an acute clinical dietitian for entry level practice or 3+ years’ experience as an acute dietitian for advanced level practice. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lic Dietitian - Must hold a current license or certification specific to the state of employment \n  <ul>\n   <li>IADHHS – Iowa Department of Health and Human Services </li>\n   <li>IDFPR – Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation </li>\n   <li>Wisconsin </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Reg Dietitian required \n  <ul>\n   <li>CDR – Commission on Dietetic Registration </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Preferred: Cert Diabetic Educator \n  <ul>\n   <li>NCBDE – National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Preferred: Certified Nutrition Support Clinician \n  <ul>\n   <li>NBNSC – National Board of Nutrition Support Certification </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Preferred: Board Certification Specialty from CDR in: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Oncology Nutrition </li>\n   <li>Gerontology Nutrition </li>\n   <li>Renal Nutrition </li>\n   <li>Pediatrics Critical Care Nutrition </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n <li>IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
