Intertek's project-related assurance, testing, inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability, safety and performance of your new developments, existing assets and facilities.</p><p>Intertek’s Building Science Solutions (BSS) group is primarily focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>The ideal&nbsp;<strong>Building Enclosure Project Manager</strong>&nbsp;will have a solid background and interest in building enclosure consulting for new and existing buildings. They should also have an interest in leading projects of various sizes, building the local business, and contributing technically to our overall team. They have responsibilities including management of project(s), supporting senior staff members, building client relationships and pursuing project work. This position will travel up to 25% outside the local area.</p><p><strong>Shift/Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Monday – Friday 8AM-5PM</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lead and perform WBAT projects on medium to large sized projects</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lead new design consulting and peer reviews of plans and specifications for building enclosures</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Perform initial review of architectural drawings, shop drawings and submittals pertaining to the building&nbsp;enclosure</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assist with/perform field performance testing and water leakage testing of various building enclosure systems</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Manage construction administration services, including shop drawing reviews and conducting site visits</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Assist with/perform forensic investigations and documentation of existing conditions for various building enclosure systems</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lead remediation design of building enclosures</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Work with staff on major design, inspection or investigative projects</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepare professionally written technical reports</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Prepare sketches and/or mark-up details using Bluebeam or hand-written techniques</li></ul><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Architectural Engineering</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">5+ years’ experience in Building Enclosure consulting or leadership in Building Air Tightness Testing</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Technical understanding of building enclosure systems and construction</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Experience in managing a range of small to large projects</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to perform office tasks and physical labor tasks</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, roofs, etc.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to efficiently work on projects independently and in a team environment</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Solid technical writing and communication skills</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Consistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Fluent in English for the safe and effective performance of the job</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ability to travel up to 25% outside the local area, depending on local work load and project locations</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Preferred Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Professional registration or ability to obtain registration within one year, preferred</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Field experience with diverse building types</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Investigation of existing walls for leaks and other performance issues</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Familiarity with ASTM testing of exterior walls for air and water infiltration and mock-up testing</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Safety Training/Scaffold Certification</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Bluebeam proficiency</li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Intertek: Total Quality.
