AFRL conducts rocket propellant and rocket propulsion research, as well as developing associated test processes and facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide Quality Assurance advisory and assistance services to the Air Force Research Laboratory Rocket Lab at Edwards AFB, California.  </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide Quality Assurance advisory and assistance services to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Rocket Lab at Edwards AFB, California.  Duties will include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide professional quality assurance and consultation services to project managers, engineers, scientists, work managers and Logistics Branch Chief.</li>\n <li>Represent the government on all test and logistics quality assurance activities.</li>\n <li>Manage the quality assurance processes for AFRL rocket propulsion research/ test and logistics activities.</li>\n <li>Coordinates and integrates with logistics offices and others to accomplish the quality assurance reviews.</li>\n <li>Assess and determine the level of project quality assurance reviews and overall compliance of test/logistics activities.</li>\n <li>Advise project managers, test directors, test conductor, etc. on technical and quality assurance requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide quality assurance assessment of test facilities, systems and hardware to evaluate compliance with Air Force and industrial standards.</li>\n <li>Develop and process reports in Air Force specified tracking databases and present results to site leadership as required.</li>\n <li>Provide quality assurance reports of compliance reviews to work manager, quality assurance superintendent and management. Present test quality assurance review results to Test Execution Authority for approval.</li>\n <li>Performance may exceed a standard 40-hour week in the event of test operations, contingencies or other emergencies with no notice.</li>\n <li>Report activities to work manager and Logistics BC on a weekly basis at a minimum.</li>\n <li>Provide training to Logistics personnel on supply and logistics policies and implementation to ensure compliance with Air Force and industrial standards. </li>\n <li>Develop and coordinate Evaluation and Inspection plan in accordance with AFRL 61-101 Addendum C with Site Logistics Manager.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>REQUISITE SKILLS:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with Air Force quality assurance standards and implementation and reporting of those standards.</li>\n <li>A working knowledge of Air Force and Research Laboratory Instructions, i.e., AFI 61-101, AFRLI 61-101/AFMC Supplements, and RQ OI 61-105 West and other applicable instructions and standards related to quality assurance.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with rocket propulsion testing.</li>\n <li>Experience with SRB quality management.</li>\n <li>The candidate shall have a good command of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS, Project, and PowerPoint). </li>\n <li>The candidate shall be able to operate in a team environment, and shall have good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills (written and verbal).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>A minimum of 10 years of experience in Air Force quality assurance in a test environment required.</li>\n <li>A 4-Year college degree is highly desirable.</li>\n <li>The candidate must be a US citizen.</li>\n <li>Candidate must obtain a US security clearance.</li>\n</ul>",
