    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>A private couple in Washington, CT is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on, live-out Groundsman to replace a long-tenured team member who is retiring. This is a senior-level, “lead by example” role for a skilled professional who takes pride in maintaining immaculate grounds and can both execute and oversee all aspects of landscaping and exterior property care.</p>\n<p>This is not a caretaker role; the property operates with planned, structured seasonal maintenance and high standards of presentation year-round. This is a Monday through Friday position with flexibility to be on-call for major weather events. e.g., storms, fallen trees. Flexibility and support will be required for occasional event support with advance notice.</p>\n<p>This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Groundsman to step into a well-structured property and maintain exceptional outdoor standards. Relocation is not being offered. Local candidates only, please</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform and oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, planting, pruning, and seasonal upkeep</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain all landscaping equipment with expertise and care</li>\n <li>Conduct regular property walk-throughs to identify issues and ensure grounds are maintained to the highest standard</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and monitor irrigation systems</li>\n <li>Coordinate and communicate with external vendors for specialized services</li>\n <li>Work closely with household management on vendor scheduling and project execution</li>\n <li>Lead a small team (approximately 3 staff), including delegating tasks, training, and ensuring quality control</li>\n <li>Maintain a highly professional, detail-oriented approach to all work (e.g., precision lawn care and clean, consistent presentation)</li>\n <li>Provide support for property readiness during events as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Extensive experience in high-end residential landscaping or estate groundskeeping</li>\n <li>Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, landscaping equipment, and property maintenance</li>\n <li>Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a small team</li>\n <li>Highly detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship</li>\n <li>Proactive problem-solver with excellent observational skills</li>\n <li>Comfortable coordinating with vendors and managing external service providers</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ideal candidate is a local, long-term professional seeking stability</li>\n <li>Prior experience in a similar role</li>\n <li>Must be flexible, dependable, and responsive in urgent situations</li>\n <li>This is a hands-on role requiring both execution and leadership</li>\n <li>Pet friendly</li>\n <li>Legal to work in the U.S.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary and Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Salary: $75,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off</li>\n <li>Health insurance options available</li>\n</ul>",
