    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>We are designing the grid of the future!  </strong></p>\n<p>Conduct power system studies which particularly relate to existing and future NERC and regional reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis placed on generator modeling and protection setting coordination. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSCAD, PSS/e, TSAT, etc. </li>\n <li>Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic in PSSE</li>\n <li>Perform various compliance technical assessment on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment. </li>\n <li>Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.</li>\n <li>Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed. </li>\n <li>Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives. </li>\n <li>Identify training needs and present to the Senior Manager of NERC Compliance.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>Identify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager as needed. </li>\n <li>Perform other duties, as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Performance Criteria: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Quality of the study/task completed. </li>\n <li>Efficiency in task completion (at or below budget). </li>\n <li>Meeting deadlines. </li>\n <li>Growth of technical capabilities. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications & Skills: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven knowledge of power system</li>\n <li>Proven team player with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships. </li>\n <li>Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters. </li>\n <li>Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills. </li>\n <li>Capable of managing multiple tasks. </li>\n <li>Flexible with the ability to manage change. </li>\n <li>Have high standards in producing quality reports and products that he/she shall own with pride. </li>\n <li>Strong technical report writing skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in power systems</li>\n <li>2 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer</li>\n <li>Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability </li>\n <li>Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Lead the Change!</strong></p>\n<p>Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.
