Description

Essential Functions: Contacts new and existing bank clients to determine commercial lending needs and establish or maintain a solid banking relationship; initiates commercial loans as determined by contact with client. Develops and retains commercial business, meeting with prospects and customers of moderate size and complexity in a designated region to achieve a moderate sales goal under limited supervision of more experienced personnel. Gathers related financial and general business information, performs financial analyses needed to make credit decisions, participates in team credit decisions and communicates with prospects and customers to close sales. Performs necessary ongoing research regarding the client’s business, including analysis of financial statements to maintain proper risk rating on assigned credits. Provides accurate and adequate documentation for loan files. Communicates bank loan decisions with client and services loan upon closing; communicates necessary information to review committee as required. Promotes bank products and services through community contacts and involvement. Maintain a strong community involvement. Assures compliance with required regulations including proper loan documentation. Makes calls independently but may be accompanied by more experienced personnel on larger account visits. Develops knowledge of commercial and other products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring and regulatory requirements. Continues developing network of outside referral sources for new business. Ensures that own work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines. Assumes additional responsibilities as required by the position.
