You will be responsible for the advanced management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based platforms and infrastructure.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span>Your main responsibilities will include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Providing expert, 3rd line technical support and advanced troubleshooting for complex incidents and problems in a Linux environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Collaborating with the Service Integrator, 3rd parties, and other specialists to ensure the stability, availability, performance, and security of services through a best-practice approach.</span></li>\n<li><span>Leading the planning, documentation, and execution of change and release activities, including patch and upgrade management.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintaining and enhancing configuration data, ensuring its accuracy and currency.</span></li>\n<li><span>Acting as an escalation point for complex incidents and issues, driving them to resolution and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proactively identifying, managing, and mitigating technical risks and issues.</span></li>\n<li><span>Contributing to the development and maintenance of high-quality technical documentation.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adhering to and championing ITIL-based policies and practices within our service management framework.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Person Specification</span></span></p>\n<p><span>This role requires a highly skilled and experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Key Performance Indicators:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Successfully resolving high-priority and complex incidents within contracted SLAs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Receiving positive feedback on the quality and effectiveness of your technical support from clients and internal teams.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensuring technical documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and kept up-to-date.</span></li>\n<li><span>Continuously expanding your technical knowledge and skill set to stay ahead of industry trends.<br></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Skills and Experience:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span>5 years experience as a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3rd Line Linux Engineer</span> with proven, advanced troubleshooting skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Expert-level knowledge of Linux server environments, specifically <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ubuntu</span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Red Hat</span>.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proficiency in scripting and automation using <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PowerShell</span> and Bash.</span></li>\n<li><span>Understanding of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">IT network principles</span> and troubleshooting network-related issues.</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Azure</span> infrastructure and services</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong experience with configuration management and monitoring tools, such as N-able.</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take full ownership of incidents from initial report to final resolution.</span></li>\n<li><span>A positive, enthusiastic, and supportive attitude, with strong collaboration skills in a team environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Relevant certifications in Linux administration (e.g., RHCSA, LPIC).</span></li>\n<li>Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900).</li>\n</ul>",
