We are the leading Innovator in women's health, helping healthcare professionals around the world diagnose and treat their patients with precision, certainty and confidence. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What to expect</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hologic is seeking an <strong>Equipment Mechanic 4</strong> responsible for implementing and maintaining an engineering change order system including product improvements, repairs, and new product release.</li>\n <li><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></li>\n <li>Schedules preventative maintenance for equipment</li>\n <li>Performs scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance on lyophilizers, liquid fillers, labeling machines, packaging machines, water system equipment and filtration.</li>\n <li>Performs advanced troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems on manufacturing equipment.</li>\n <li>Performs installation of electrical power and pneumatic distribution hardware.</li>\n <li>Interacts with vendors to solve problems, determine part costs, and purchase parts.</li>\n <li>Diagnose and repair low voltage DC and AC electrical wiring/hardware</li>\n <li>Maintains equipment shop tools, equipment, and organization</li>\n <li>Writes procedures, documents, and reports</li>\n <li>Creates, maintains, and conveys metrics and data to Supervisors&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Trains lower level equipment maintenance technicians</li>\n <li>Supports new equipment installation &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Travel between various Hologic facilities for equipment maintenance</li>\n <li>Must be able to work weekends or other shifts on occasions.</li>\n <li>Performs other various tasks and duties as assigned&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What we expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge in using various hand tools, multimeters, pneumatic, electrical power tools.</li>\n <li>Extensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.</li>\n <li>Willingness to mentor and guide junior employees.</li>\n <li>Ability to share knowledge and expertise with team members.</li>\n <li>Awareness of applicable mechanical, electrical, and biological safety guidelines and standards.</li>\n <li>Ability to diagnose advanced mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment problems.</li>\n <li>Ability to solve advanced problems associated with programmable logic controllers.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of windows-based computer systems.</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of microprocessor and automation controls.</li>\n <li>Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license to support multiple facilities</li>\n <li>Ability to operate mills, lathes, drill press, and power saws for fabrication of machine parts&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Detailed oriented with strong verbal and written communication&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to articulate information to coworkers and suppliers</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Experience in a GMP environment preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Typically requires High school, Trade school, or Military and 10 plus years related experience or AA and 5-year related experience or BS and 5 years related experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The annualized base salary range for this hourly role is $70,000 to $105,100 and is bonus eligible.
