This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing project development while contributing to the development and maintenance of cloud-based applications and/or services. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing code, architecting infrastructure, and guiding a team toward delivering reliable, scalable solutions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Team Leadership:</strong> Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability.</li>\n <li><strong>Project Management:</strong> Plan, coordinate, and drive development and infrastructure projects from inception through delivery, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals.</li>\n <li><strong>Web Application Development:</strong> Contribute to and oversee the design, development, and deployment of web applications using modern frameworks and best practices.</li>\n <li><strong>Cloud Infrastructure Management:</strong> Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud environments across <strong>AWS</strong> and <strong>Azure</strong>, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.</li>\n <li><strong>Infrastructure as Code (IaC):</strong> Design and implement infrastructure automation using <strong>Terraform</strong> and <strong>Packer</strong>, promoting reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure deployments.</li>\n <li><strong>CI/CD Pipeline Development:</strong> Build and maintain robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to streamline code deployment and reduce release cycles.</li>\n <li><strong>Security & Compliance:</strong> Collaborate with cybersecurity team to embed best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>8+ years</strong> of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or a related field.</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of hands-on development experience building and deploying <strong>web applications</strong> (e.g., using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, or similar languages).</li>\n <li><strong>3+ years</strong> of experience working with <strong>AWS</strong> and <strong>Azure</strong> cloud platforms, including core services (compute, networking, storage, identity management).</li>\n <li><strong>Strong proficiency</strong> with <strong>Terraform</strong> and <strong>Packer</strong> for infrastructure provisioning and image management.</li>\n <li><strong>2+ years</strong> of experience in a <strong>leadership or team lead role</strong>, including managing projects, setting priorities, and mentoring team members.</li>\n <li>Experience designing and managing <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of <strong>containerization and orchestration</strong> technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, or AKS).</li>\n <li>Proficiency with <strong>version control systems</strong>, particularly Git.</li>\n <li>Must have an active governemnet issued clearance with poly</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>networking fundamentals</strong> including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, and firewalls.</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>scripting languages</strong> (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.</li>\n <li>Understanding of <strong>Agile</strong> methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>secrets management</strong> tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>database administration</strong> (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data migration strategies.</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>cost optimization</strong> strategies in multi-cloud environments.</li>\n <li>Bachelor Degree in related technical competency.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About SilverEdge</h2>\n<p>SilverEdge Government Solutions was founded on the belief that nurturing talent and collaborating closely with our customers enables us to think big and deliver the best for our country.
