Candidates must be willing to work in an on-call capacity and respond to the area within 30 minutes.&nbsp;</p><p><ins>Qualifications/ Experience Requirements:</ins><br>&bull; EMT certification in the State of California required.<br>&bull; Nor Cal EMT certification required.<br>&bull; American Heart Association BLS/CPR required.<br>&bull; CA Ambulance Driver&rsquo;s License with Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Certificate.<br>&bull; Valid California or Nevada Driver&rsquo;s license required with a clean driving record.<br>&bull; Ability to work in an on-call capacity required.<br>&bull; Low angle rope rescue certification preferred.<br>&bull; Must possess excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.<br>&bull; Maintains a positive working attitude.<br>&bull; Self-starter requiring little oversight.<br>&bull; Must be adaptable to change and able to function in a team-based management structure.<br>&bull; Must be able to work overtime as required.<br>Additional skills:<br>&bull; Experience operating an emergency vehicle a plus.<br>&bull; Experience in an ALS system a plus.<br>&bull; Pre-hospital experience a plus.<br>&bull; Experience in EMS and public education; field or classroom a plus.</p><p><ins>&nbsp;Position Summary</ins><br>Provides basic life support in a pre-hospital setting to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assess the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedure to follow in accordance with established scope and protocols. EMT will assume a support role and work with a Paramedic partner to deliver highest quality care.<br>This position has contact with the staff of base hospitals and outlying hospitals; with physicians, public service agencies (fire, police, highway patrol) and ground ambulance personnel; patients and their families; and with various service groups for public relations and educational purposes.</p><p><br>Within this general framework, this position is accountable for the following functions:<br>&bull; Provides emergency pre-hospital medical care as appropriate in accordance with scope and established protocols.<br>&bull; Drives and operates ambulances and other company vehicles safely, in accordance with established emergency driving guidelines.<br>&bull; Provide consistent, high quality prehospital care as outlined by the REMSA/Care Flight Standard of Care, Nor Cal Protocols, and accepted local and national treatment doctrines.<br>&bull; Provide an exemplary, safe, professional demeanor at all times.<br>&bull; Acts as a catalyst for absolute integrity, confidentiality, and competency with patients, their families, the public, other agencies, coworkers, and REMSA management.<br>&bull; Maintain currency of all required certifications and licenses.<br>&bull; Provide feedback to management for improvement of working conditions, patient care, and system performance.<br>&bull; Responsible for timely, legible, highly accurate recordkeeping.<br>&bull; Assumes the role as educator for the public, students, and coworkers.<br>&bull; Cooperates with other members of the REMSA team, including management and co-workers.<br>&bull; Must be able to work overtime as required.<br>&bull; Other duties as assigned.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
