We seek a candidate that is self-inspired to learn and demonstrates a high degree of customer service while positively contributing to our team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Quality Assurance Inspector at Nomad GCS performs inspection and testing of purchased materials, components, subassemblies, and final products in accordance with Nomad policies and procedures. The Quality Assurance Inspector will be trained and report to the Quality Assurance Manager, working in collaboration to ensure standard quality across various Nomad projects and teams.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform in-process inspections for fabrication, paint/graphics, assembly, and electrical work, ensuring compliance with:\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering design drawings</li>\n<li>Nomad workmanship standards</li>\n<li>Industry standards (including AWS, AC/DC Electrical, and applicable IPC/WHMA)</li>\n<li>Customer-approved designs and additional customer requirements as applicable</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Conduct final inspections (with oversight from the Quality Assurance Manager), including:\n<ul>\n<li>Verification of completed production build records and tests</li>\n<li>Full deployment and stow procedures to ensure functionality</li>\n<li>Inspections for visual aesthetics, ergonomic ideals, and compliance with DOT and Specialty Vehicle Industry standards</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Complete all quality records and associated paperwork with meticulous attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels to promote quality expectations and continuous improvement.</li>\n<li>Provide mentorship and feedback to manufacturing staff to support quality improvements.</li>\n<li>Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to failures and defects.</li>\n<li>Support quality initiatives by listening to and incorporating improvement suggestions from all levels of the organization.</li>\n<li>Be willing to travel on a limited basis as required by management.</li>\n<li>Take on additional duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">BASIC KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic understanding of electrical and IT systems.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of root cause investigation techniques and corrective actions.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with blueprints, engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T), and model-based definitions per ASME Y14 standards.</li>\n<li>Understanding of basic metrology and calibration requirements.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with American Welding Society (AWS) procedures and inspections.</li>\n<li>Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office programs.</li>\n<li>Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and approaches to problem-solving.</li>\n<li>Clear communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with cross-functional teams.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate understanding and application of Nomad Core Values.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular use of hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods as required by task assignment.</li>\n<li>Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Assistance required for anything heavier than 50 pounds.</li>\n<li>Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and distinguish colors, necessary for both office tasks and production work.</li>\n<li>Must have the physical stamina to adapt to varying workload demands and stand or sit for prolonged periods depending on the specific tasks of the day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORKING ENVIRONMENT:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work is split between a partially environmentally controlled indoor manufacturing area and a professional office setting. Temperatures in the manufacturing area can fluctuate between 60°F and 100°F, typically maintained around 70°F in the office.</li>\n<li>Exposure to varying noise levels from moderate in the office to loud on the production floor; safety hearing devices provided as needed.</li>\n<li>Possible exposure to household and commercial chemicals with adherence to safety protocols outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) required. Safety glasses and closed-toed shoes are mandatory when on the production floor.</li>\n<li>Regular interaction with team members, guests, and clients in a professional setting. Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.</li>\n<li>Use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators or protective coveralls may be necessary for specific tasks on the production floor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED required; additional education is desired.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a heavily regulated industry operating under a Quality Management System (QMS) certified or compliant to ISO9001, AS9100, and/or FAA guidelines.</li>\n<li>Previous inspection experience is preferred.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to Nomad Core Values and a willingness to practice them consistently.</li>\n<li>Must have a sense of urgency to meet defined deliverables with attention to detail and accuracy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>Nomad GCS is an equal opportunity employer, (EOE,) and voluntarily follows affirmative action guidelines.
