    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client.</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>The Work</u></strong></p>\n<p>The Instructional Designer III designs and develops curriculum in accordance with the Instructional Systems Design model, Training and Performance Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation (FLETA) standards. This role will work closely with the curriculum manager, other instructional designers, other program offices, subject matter experts and multimedia specialists to design and develop lesson plans, student materials, and instructional media.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Designs, develops, plans, organizes and implements complex training solutions</li>\n <li>Leads the development of needs analysis and assessment, program evaluation, instructor evaluation and course development</li>\n <li>Leads in the design and development of course materials using the Instructional Systems Design model</li>\n <li>Develops detailed lesson content and identify appropriate training delivery mechanisms</li>\n <li>Develops planning documents, student and Instructor materials and course presentations</li>\n <li>Develops learning goals and objectives, using the Instructional Systems Design model in accordance with Training and Performance Standard Operating Procedures</li>\n <li>Evaluates courses and instructors based on performance criteria</li>\n <li>Develops Kirkpatrick Level I, II and II assessments as well as questionnaires and user surveys</li>\n <li>Stays current on policy, law and technology changes, as well as skill requirements and office directives</li>\n <li>Coordinates with instructors, subject matter experts (SME), multimedia team and other program offices</li>\n <li>Provides course management services, including course revisions, instructor performance evaluations, cost assessments, and making recommendations for course retirement</li>\n <li>Assists curriculum management by maintaining all curriculum records, scheduling and conducting curriculum reviews, making recommendations for updates and changes, and tracking revision history</li>\n <li>Evaluates pilot courses to ensure that they conform to Training and Performance Standard Operating Procedures, FLETA accreditation and adult education standards</li>\n <li>Attends internal and external meetings as an Instructional Design expert</li>\n <li>Provides weekly updates of course activities to the curriculum manager</li>\n <li>Provides the necessary support and guidance to achieve and retain all FLETA accreditation requirements for the Program Office</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications – Here’s What You Need</u></strong></p>\n<p>The qualifications and skills listed below are intended to provide a general overview of the requirements for this position. Additional qualifications, certifications, skills, or experience specific to the client’s requirements may be identified and requested upon award of the task order. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving responsibilities as outlined by the client.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in adult learning, education or curriculum development; a master’s degree or eight (8) years’ equivalent experience in instructional design, instructional technology, organizational development, or educational psychology preferred</li>\n <li>At least eight (8) years of experience in curriculum design and development</li>\n <li>Specialized knowledge or professional experience in several of the following: instructional systems design, education and adult learning principles, cooperative learning, programming and authoring tools</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience working in all five phases of the Instructional Systems Design model</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience creating assessments</li>\n <li>Two (2) years as a level II Instructional Designer preferred</li>\n <li>Familiarity with SharePoint preferred</li>\n <li>Secret Clearnce is required.</li>\n <li>Due to the nature of work at the client’s site, U.S. Citizenship is required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass a background check.
