This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in <strong>technical leadership, system design, mentoring, and client engagement</strong></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\">As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Lead <strong>mechanical system design</strong> for projects, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>HVAC systems</li>\n    <li>Piping and fluid systems</li>\n    <li>Industrial machinery and equipment</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Perform and approve <strong>complex engineering calculations</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Heating and cooling loads</li>\n    <li>Fluid dynamics and pressure losses</li>\n    <li>Thermodynamics and energy analysis</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Ensure designs comply with <strong>ASME, CSA, NFPA</strong>, and applicable <strong>local building and mechanical codes</strong></li>\n  <li>Prepare and review <strong>technical documentation</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Specifications</li>\n    <li>Design briefs and reports</li>\n    <li>Risk assessments</li>\n    <li>Sequences of operation</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Develop <strong>scope of work</strong> and <strong>basis of design</strong>, maintaining accuracy through all project phases</li>\n  <li>Coordinate with <strong>multidisciplinary teams</strong> (MEP/FP, Architectural, Civil, Structural)</li>\n  <li>Manage <strong>vendor and supplier interactions</strong>, reviewing technical submissions and equipment selections</li>\n  <li>Review, approve, and <strong>stamp drawings and specifications</strong>; perform <strong>QA/QC reviews</strong></li>\n  <li>Mentor and provide technical leadership to <strong>junior engineers and technologists</strong></li>\n  <li>Manage <strong>project scopes, budgets, schedules</strong>, and deliverables using sound risk management practices</li>\n  <li>Respond to <strong>RFIs</strong>, review submittals, and troubleshoot issues during design and construction</li>\n  <li>Oversee <strong>installation, commissioning, and field investigations</strong>, providing on-site technical guidance</li>\n  <li>Apply advanced mechanical engineering concepts, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>Psychrometrics</li>\n    <li>Hydronic and air-side system design</li>\n    <li>Energy efficiency and performance principles</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Communicate effectively with <strong>clients and stakeholders</strong> to define requirements and meet project milestones</li>\n </ul>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\">&nbsp;</p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:18pt\">The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise and leadership experience in <strong>mechanical engineering</strong>, including:</p>\n <ul>\n  <li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering</strong> (mandatory)</li>\n  <li><strong>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario</strong> or eligible for licensure within a short timeframe</li>\n  <li>Demonstrated experience in <strong>mechanical engineering design</strong> for industrial and/or municipal infrastructure projects</li>\n  <li>Strong proficiency with <strong>mechanical design software</strong>, including:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li><strong>AutoCAD</strong> (mandatory)</li>\n    <li><strong>Revit, SolidWorks</strong>, and <strong>simulation / FEA tools</strong> (<i>assets</i>)</li>\n    <li><strong>MS Office (Word, Excel)</strong> and <strong>MS Project</strong> for project management</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Experience in <strong>preliminary and detailed design</strong> for heavy industrial and municipal systems</li>\n  <li>In-depth knowledge of <strong>engineering codes and standards</strong>:&nbsp; \n   <ul>\n    <li>ASME</li>\n    <li>CSA</li>\n    <li>NFPA</li>\n    <li>Local building and mechanical codes</li>\n   </ul></li>\n  <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform <strong>advanced engineering calculations</strong></li>\n  <li>Proven <strong>leadership and mentoring ability</strong>, including multidisciplinary coordination</li>\n  <li>Experience managing <strong>project scopes, budgets, schedules</strong>, and deliverables</li>\n  <li>Excellent <strong>written and verbal communication skills</strong></li>\n  <li>Ability to prioritize <strong>multiple projects</strong> in a fast-paced consulting environment</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<p><br>\n  The salary range for this role is between $100K - $150K.
