Performs a variety of environmental service duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p>This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Speak, read and write English</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time. </p>\n<p>Must be able to lift 35 pounds.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and public areas according to hospital infection control standards.</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs routine and terminal cleaning of patient care areas to help prevent the spread of infection.</p></li>\n <li><p>Properly uses and stores cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment according to safety guidelines.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collects and disposes of regular and medical waste in accordance with hospital and regulatory policies.</p></li>\n <li><p>Restocks supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitation materials in assigned areas.</p></li>\n <li><p>Responds to spills, biohazard situations, and other environmental cleaning needs in a timely manner.</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintains floors through sweeping, mopping, and other routine floor care tasks.</p></li>\n <li><p>Reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment problems to the appropriate department.</p></li>\n <li><p>Follows infection prevention protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintains a professional and respectful presence while working in patient care areas.</p></li>\n <li>Other duties as needed/assigned.</li>\n</ul>",
