    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\">This individual will plan, design, protype, and assemble custom automated equipment solutions for manufacturing processes. &nbsp;The applicant must be capable of analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force to maximize efficiency; and improving production design for manufacturability. The applicant must research and drive procurement and implementation of components and solutions which may be purchased or developed by external suppliers.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left: 0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Primary responsibility will be to lead projects in the development and implementation of automation in mechanical and electronics assembly, machining, and inspection processes. &nbsp;This will include design, specification, directing and managing vendors, installation, and qualification of automated Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes.</li><li>Manage equipment purchase, installation, programming, and maintenance.</li><li>Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare manufacturing documentation.</li><li>Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support.</li><li>Develop systems and layouts that follow lean manufacturing philosophies of one-piece flow and Kanban, with emphasis on mistake proofing.</li><li>Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates</li><li>Manage tooling and gauge design and drawings.</li><li>Provide training and guidance to all employee levels in the operation and maintenance of new automated equipment systems and equipment.</li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>BS in engineering field, or equivalent, from a four-year college or university; or 15 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Manufacturing&nbsp;Automation Engineer with 10+ years of experience</li><li>Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping)</li><li>CAD (computer aided design), SolidWorks preferred</li><li>Statistical analysis and presentation of large datasets</li><li>Tool and fixture design and GD&amp;T</li><li>Strong Project Management skills</li><li>Understanding and functional knowledge of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems. Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics</li><li>Machine specification and purchase order writing</li><li>Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities</li><li>Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards</li><li>MS Office suite</li><li>&nbsp;Communication skills (strong written and public speaking)&nbsp;</li><li><p style=\"margin-left: 0px;\">US Citizenship is a requirement for this position due to U.S. Government contractual requirements</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>#LI-AC1</p>",
