The Grants Analyst serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to grants management. The selected candidate will work independently and under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion, completing projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.</span></h2><h2><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Provide direct support to the Grants Division for the timely award of grants across the agency in support of the federal health mission.</li><li>Accomplish and deliver compliant pre- and post-award documentation and grants documents in accordance with federal and DoD grants principles, including 2 CFR 200 and DoD Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.</li><li>Assist in conducting grant award activities, including collecting responsibility information, preparing award notices, distributing awards, and processing requests for debriefing.</li><li>Assist in evaluating grant proposals in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and evaluation factors.</li><li>Review requirements for new or follow-on grants and identify potential issues to achieve clear mutual understanding of grant requirements.</li><li>Present, analyze, and verify data, techniques, methodologies, and formats associated with grants management activities.</li><li>Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership; manage correspondence and monitor task completion to ensure deadlines are met.</li><li>Ensure correctness and adherence to applicable federal and agency standards, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Observe and extend appropriate military and government protocol.</li></ul><h2><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Required Skills/Qualifications</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience as a federal government and/or contractor employee in a grants management specialist, grants analyst, or grants policy analyst capacity (GS-1102, GS-1109, or equivalent).</li><li>Extensive knowledge or understanding of federal and DoD grants principles, including 2 CFR 200 and Department of Defense Grants and Agreement Regulations (DoDGARS), DoD Directives and Instructions, laws, regulations, and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge or understanding of cost principles in determining cost reasonableness, allowability, and allocability.</li><li>Knowledge or understanding of fact-finding, analysis, and resolution of complex problems, with the ability to develop concrete action plans.</li><li>Familiarity with budget and/or federal cost principles.</li><li>Familiarity with federal grant/contract writing systems.</li><li>Proficiency in SharePoint and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.</li><li>Prior DoD, Military, or federal defense health agency experience as a Grants Specialist or Contract Analyst (preferred).</li><li>GS-1102 or GS-1109 series experience (preferred).</li></ul><h2><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><strong>Benefits</strong></span></h2><ul><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans (Healthcare benefits are 100% employer-paid for employees only)</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Paid Time Off (Flexible/Combined PTO, Bereavement Leave, 11 Company Paid Holidays)</li><li>401K Retirement Plan with employer match</li><li>Professional Development Training Reimbursement</li></ul>",
