Respiratory Therapists will possess optimal skills in assessments of patients, delivery of care, and being proactive as an advocate for diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><br><br></span><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<br>&nbsp;</strong><ul><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Diagnoses lung and breathing disorders and recommends treatment methods.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Interviews patients and performs chest physical exams to determine what kind of therapy is best for their condition.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Consults with physicians to recommend a change in therapy, based on evaluation of the patient.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Analyzes breath, tissue, and blood specimens to determine levels of oxygen and other gases.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Manages ventilators and artificial airway devices for patients who cannot breathe normally on their own.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Manages non-invasive and high flow devices for patients requiring oxygenation and ventilatory support.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Responds to emergency situations and urgent calls for care.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">Educates patients and families about lung disease so they can maximize their quality of life.</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"line-height: 107%; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></span></p><div><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><div><div><div><ul><li>Associates Degree in Respiratory Care- Required</li><li>Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Required</li><li>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Preferred</li><li>CPR(BLS)- Required</li><li>CPR (ACLS) - Preferred</li><li>CPR (PALS) - Preferred&nbsp;</li><li>NRP- Preferred</li></ul><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div><br><br></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
