Educates the patient on diagnostic equipment and overnight sleep study.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Educational Qualifications: </span>High school diploma.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience/ Training: </span>Knowledge of the specialized field of Polysomnography, EEG Technology, and Respiratory Care and working towards licensure.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Licenses:</span> Variable.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Status and Scope:</span> Reports to Department Manager of Sleep Facility.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Job Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop weekly testing schedules.</li>\n<li>Prepare diagnostic equipment to perform the sleep studies.</li>\n<li>Acts and dresses in a professional manner, treats patients with courtesy.</li>\n<li>Gather patient information packets which include patient consent forms, pre sleep</li>\n<li>questionnaires, and technologist’s comments sheets.</li>\n<li>Set-up, instruct, and educate the patients on testing procedures.</li>\n<li>Answer any questions the patients may have.</li>\n<li>The technician shall be available to our patients throughout entire process.</li>\n<li>Retrieve the equipment, patient consent form, and post sleep questionnaires.</li>\n<li>Documents his/her report on the technologist comments sheet.</li>\n</ul>",
