    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Reporting to the Education Manager, the Art Studio Facilitator will be responsible for optimizing the visitor experience in the art studio and exhibit areas by providing expertise in early childhood (ages 0-8 years) and adult education in the arts.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>AND</strong><strong>&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Engage early childhood and adult visitors through developmentally appropriate practices to enhance the museum experience through art and to assist with understanding process art and how to engage their child in different art activities</li><li>Set and reset the art studio throughout the day, conduct sanitization tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the art studio and museum</li><li>Implement art related museum programming for all visitors, review visitor evaluations and revise activities based upon evaluation feedback with approval &nbsp;</li><li>Support and collaborate with Education staff and other departments to support the museum mission</li><li>Test new materials and recommend new material use in future art related activities.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Attend mandatory monthly training, safety training and other department/museum meetings as requested</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Education Manager and/or Education Specialists</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>The successful candidate will possess the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of high school, with preferred high school diploma or GED equivalency</li><li>A minimum of 1-year experience working with/teaching young children in fine arts; additional experience preferred</li><li>Knowledge of the visual arts and their application</li><li>Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft suite, utilization of the Internet</li><li>Verbal and written communication skills required to provide a satisfying visitor experience and to appropriately engage employees and others while performing job functions</li><li>Ability to communicate in Spanish both verbally and in writing, preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Friendly demeanor and positive attitude</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Usual office environmental conditions &nbsp;</li><li>Occasional exposure to weather elements when servicing special events &nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Must be available to work both weekday and weekend hours and provide back up as needed; 24 hours per week&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Moderate lifting (able to lift 20 lbs.);&nbsp;ability to move large cart to and from exhibit areas</li><li>Sitting, walking, standing, bending, reaching. &nbsp;Up to four hours of standing and/or walking may be required while servicing special events and/or group activities</li><li>Squatting and/or kneeling required&nbsp;</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\">&nbsp;<strong>SCHEDULE</strong></p><ul><li>Monday&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; 8:30am-12:30pm</li><li>Wednesday&nbsp; 8:30am-3:30pm</li><li>Friday&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;9:00am-2:30pm</li><li>Saturday&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; 9:30am-4:00pm</li></ul><p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Paid Leave&nbsp;</li><li>401(k) with employer match</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Museum Membership</li><li>Pet Insurance<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><em>Kohl Children&rsquo;s Museum is an</em> <em>equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</em></p></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Monday        8:30am-12:30pm<br/>Wednesday  8:30am-3:30pm<br/>Friday           9:00am-2:30pm<br/>Saturday       9:30am-4:00pm<br/>22 hours per week",
