Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Brick House Counselor will work with the Program Director to promote the highest quality of all youth and teen programs. They will also support the Program Director with oversight and overall development and operations of all youth and teen programs. 3:15pm- 5:30pm Monday through Friday ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program growth for the YMCA. Executes strategies to ensure that program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA. Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Expands the youth and teen programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Provides leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/boards as assigned. Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community. Assures compliance with state and local regulations. Ensures that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in the program. YMCA COMPETENCIES (Leader): Mission Advancement: Accepts and demonstrates the Ys values. Embraces new approaches and discovers ideas to create a better member experience. Establishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work and actively participates in meetings. Follows budgeting policies and procedures, and reports all financial irregularities immediately. Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver a high-value experience for members. Personal Growth: Pursues self-development that enhances job performance. Demonstrates an openness to change, and seeks opportunities in the change process.
