    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>SCHEDULE</strong></p><p>Clinic hours include the following:</p><p>Monday &ndash; Thursday 8:00AM &ndash; 9:00PM</p><p>Friday 8:00AM &ndash; 8:00PM</p><p>Saturday 9:00AM &ndash; 5:00PM</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Family Service League is seeking a <strong>full-time</strong> Counselor for our Family Recovery Center (FRC) in Riverhead, NY. The Counselor will provide individual and group therapy to children, families, and adults directly impacted by alcohol and drugs. The Counselor will consult and advocate with outside agencies and other supports, as needed, and facilitate referrals and follow-up on those services.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>We offer a generous benefits package including the following:</strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Supervision Hours toward CASAC Provided</strong></li><li><strong>May be Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)</strong></li><li><strong>Potential for 1 day of remote work per week</strong></li><li>Health and Dental Insurance</li><li>Vision Insurance</li><li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li><li>Retirement Savings Plan with a 5% employer contribution</li><li>Life and AD&amp;D Insurance</li><li>Generous PTO (paid time off)</li><li>Up to 11 paid Holidays</li><li>Paid Sick Leave</li><li>Student Tuition Remission Program</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>Company paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability</li><li>Employee Discounts and more!</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>The Counselor will provide the most appropriate and highest level of service to clients.</li><li>Manage a caseload of clients and provide case management services; possibly primarily mandated by probation.</li><li>Complete intake assessments.</li><li>Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.</li><li>Make accurate diagnosis and confer with supervisor when needed.</li><li>The Counselor will provide each client with a realistic crisis plan.</li><li>Work with clients to develop and reach treatment goals and change goals as needed.</li><li>Efficiently access other necessary services for client.</li><li>Complete progress notes, treatment plans and other OASAS required documentation in a timely manner.</li><li>Conduct and record all results of laboratory screenings.</li><li>Maintain contact with client legal mandates and notify of significant issues.</li><li>Facilitate groups for clients depending upon client need.</li><li>The Counselor will register appropriate clients in impaired driver system.</li><li>Correspond with collateral family members and agencies in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Acquire knowledge of modalities relevant to client population.</li><li>Maintain reasonable kept appointment rate.</li><li>Contact clients by phone and letter regarding missed appointments.</li><li>Obtain all necessary signatures and documentation related to client care.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date progress notes, treatment plans, and Outpatient Treatment Reviews (OTRs).</li><li>Terminate cases when appropriate and using the appropriate procedures.</li><li>Inform office staff and ensure that clients are informed of schedule changes.</li><li>Adhere to OASAS regulations.</li><li>Meet regularly with supervisor to review cases.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p><p>CASAC/CASAC-T or related education required.</p><p>Minimum of 2 years of experience with substance use disorders required; experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.</p><p>Experience working with adolescents and teens may be required.</p><p>Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills required.</p><p>Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to work closely with referral sources required.</p><p>Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required; Electronic Health Records preferred.</p><p>Bilingual in Spanish preferred.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
