You’ll make crucial decisions independently, find innovative solutions and plan and coordinate projects. As a Project Engineer, you’ll make independent decisions and will thrive under pressure. You’ll also:&nbsp;</div><ul><li><!--block-->Plan and coordinate work.</li><li><!--block-->Apply standard engineering practices and techniques.</li><li><!--block-->Adjust and correlate data.&nbsp;</li><li><!--block-->Recognize discrepancies and follow standard procedures.</li><li><!--block-->Build relationships with clients, municipal staff, board members, and key decision-makers</li><li><!--block-->Work effectively under tight deadlines.</li><li><!--block-->Project cost estimating.</li><li><!--block-->Supporting construction staff with field changes and clarifications.</li><li><!--block-->Assist with proposal development, scope definition, and budget planning.</li><li><!--block-->Coordinate permitting with regulatory agencies and navigate local/state requirements.</li><li><!--block-->Represent and support the team at board/council meetings (1-2/month, varies).&nbsp; Mentor junior staff and provide technical QA/QC.</li></ul><div><!--block--><strong>What it takes<br></strong>Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering. If you have five or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm, we want to talk. You should be a licensed professional engineer or demonstrate the ability to secure licensure shortly after starting employment.
