    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">CHAP Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of all civil engineering activities for assigned projects.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Playing a key role within the project team, the Site Engineer will help ensure technical accuracy, high-quality execution, and the efficient delivery of civil engineering works from project commencement through to final completion.</span></p>\n\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Some of the main tasks include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>To act as the technical lead on assigned projects and assist teams in the planning, execution and recording of the site works.</li>\n<li>Carry out setting out and surveying activities using total stations, GNSS, and other surveying/setting out equipment.</li>\n<li>The preparation of setting out information, drawings and models using AutoCAD &amp; Trimble Business Centre.</li>\n<li>Installation of datums, profiles, batter rails and other temporary markers necessary for the accurate setting out of the works.<br></li>\n<li>Effectively communicate with site teams the requirements of the project design and specification and ensure compliance at all stages.<br></li>\n<li>Assist in maximising project profitability, managing change and anticipating potential problems.<br></li>\n<li>Review in a timely manner all relevant design information and submit RFI’s/TQ’s as may be required to resolve any foreseeable issues with buildability, compliance with project specifications, project budgets, conflicting details, etc.</li>\n<li>Assist the commercial team with monthly measures for bulk earthworks on assigned projects and other items as may be required.</li>\n<li>To carry out quality inspections and always maintain good site records.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CSCS Card.<br></li>\n<li>Full UK Driving licence.<br></li>\n<li>HNC Civil Engineering or similar related to construction, civil engineering or the built environment.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CITB SMSTS site supervisor certificate.</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree related to construction, civil engineering or the built environment.</li>\n<li>First Aid at Work.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competencies</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Min. 5 years’ relevant industry experience in a similar role.</li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade, guide and motivate others to ensure goals are achieved.<br></li>\n<li>Excellent time management, prioritisation skills and reliability.<br></li>\n<li>Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.<br></li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate experience of effectively dealing with operational issues, opportunities and obstacles.<br></li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.<br></li>\n<li>Drive and determination with a will to succeed.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in the use of Trimble Business Centre or other surveying software’s.<br>Willingness to progress within the organisation and train others.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
