Gathers, analyzes, and reports custom written programs to generate inspection data for manufacturing, engineering, and quality. Performs all dimensional layouts using coordinate measuring equipment and prepares layout reports. \n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail</li>\n <li>Works under close supervision with little autonomy</li>\n <li>Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience</li>\n <li>Performs manual tasks according to established procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operates CMM equipment to perform measurement, inspection, and testing of production materials and components using previously prepared inspection programs. </li>\n <li>Mounts or installs tools, attachments, fixtures, or work pieces on CMM. </li>\n <li>Performs in-process or final inspections. </li>\n <li>Documents and reports non-conforming materials as required.  </li>\n <li>Reads blueprints and specifications. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Vocational/Technical Training Degree</li>\n <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Machine Operation. Precision Measurement. Reading Blueprints/Diagrams. Safety knowledge.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.</li>\n <li>May need to stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.</li>\n <li>May be requested to work a different shift.</li>\n <li>Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.</li>\n <li>This position is Safety-Sensitive.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Travel Requirements</h2>No or very little travel likely.\n<h2>_____________________________</h2>\n<p>The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
