      "description": "<p>Description</p><p>The Lead Security Technician shall lead a team of technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, programming, and testing of access control, IP video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems. This is a hands-on working position. </p><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Major Roles and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the installation of access control devices and related hardware on all doors, including low voltage electric door hardware. </li><li>Lead the installation of video surveillance systems including cameras, software, switches, patch panels, and other associated devices. </li><li>Lead the installation of intrusion alarm wiring, control panels, and other associated devices. </li><li>Lead the scheduled preventative maintenance on access control, IP video system, and intrusion alarm systems. </li><li>Lead the installation of programming access control, IP video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems. </li><li>Work in conjunction with the engineering team in the functional testing of all installed systems. </li><li>Assist in the training and development of technicians.  </li><li>Ensure project scope is accurately completed to Prime installation standards.</li><li>Maintains communication throughout the project with the project management team to ensure all departmental daily records are maintained. </li><li>Field execution of the daily project schedule to stay within scope of work and allotted budgeted hours. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Education Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical/business school background is strongly preferred). </li><li>Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the security field.  </li><li>Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with low voltage cabling. </li><li>Experience with the use of a multimeter and cable tester. </li><li>Familiarity with the use of various hand and power tools. </li><li>Must have a valid driver’s license. </li><li>Good judgment is required. </li><li>Strong organizational skills are required. </li><li>Exceptional customer service skills are a must. </li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Looking for technicians with access control and IP camera experience, preferably familiar with the following manufacturers: Genetec, AMAG, Lenel, Axis, DMP, DSX, HID. Manufacturer certifications highly preferred. </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and other technical documentation. </li><li>Understanding of electrical theory and relay logic. </li><li>Industry specific manufacturer certification. </li></ul><p><strong>Additional Notes</strong></p><ul><li>Probationary period of 90 days.</li><li>Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Individuals must be able to pass a drug screen as well as a background check. </li><li>Individuals must be available to work variable hours. </li><li>Prime will cover travel expenses including hotel, flight and/or rental vehicle and will provide a daily per diem rate when overnight travel is required. </li></ul>",
