Electrician Helpers are prohibited from working on energized circuits or equipment.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Preferred Job Skills:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Able to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.</li>\n<li>OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained.</li>\n<li>Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.</li>\n<li>Must be an effective and professional communicator.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Mandatory Hiring Requirements</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">References, Background Check, Drug Screen Testing, Valid Driver’s License.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Responsibilities: </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Assist electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician actually installing the work and handling the bulk of materials.  This employee should keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and keep the work area clean at all times.  Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment, Apprentice I will learn and assist with performing:</span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">                       </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Basic blueprint knowledge</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Layout from field sketches</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Panel terminations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Size conduit and boxes</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Transformer terminations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Motor terminations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Underground conduit installation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Overhead and  in wall conduit and cable installation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Wire terminations in J-Box</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Conduit and box installation in CMU block alongside masons</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Pull wire feeder/branch/low-voltage</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Operate equipment (training will be provided).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Assist in keeping fluid levels checked and greased in all equipment and vehicles.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: windowtext; font-size: 15px\">All other duties as assigned.</span> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Position Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">License:</span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Valid state driver's license preferred.  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Certification: None required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Education: </span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">High School Graduate/GED preferred.  </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Experience: None required.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Working Conditions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Job requires working in all weather elements; heat, cold, rain, or snow, depending on job location and time of year.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Job requires employee to have required personal tools with him at all times (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Work from all types of ladders and be able to transport/relocate ladders unassisted.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Employee’s personal weight with tools cannot exceed the rated weight capacity of ladders used.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial work platforms, cat walks and other safe work areas.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Work in restricted or confined areas such as switch gear-rooms, manholes, utility tunnels and crawl spaces.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must wear all personal protective equipment as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must be able to regularly work 40 hours per week plus overtime as required. Night shifts, weekends.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Required Physical/Mental Functions:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Comprehension of construction drawings, schematics and specifications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Bend conduit using hand benders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must have the ability to safely use required power tools.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Must be able to safely operate construction equipment (trencher, forklift, aerial work </span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">platforms, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Capable of digging trenches, using of hand tools or power equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Operate two handed tools as required.
