Through the reselling of donated items, we can provide job readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment. </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>HOURLY RATE $21.00-$22.50</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY: </strong>Guards, patrols, or monitors premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<li>Assist with emergency situations, First Aid, CPR and AED.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates and adheres to working knowledge a Community Emergency Response Team Certification. Is an essential member of Goodwill’s Emergency Response Team.</li>\n<li>Assists in the training of new Security Officers in company standards. Security policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Helps promote health, safety and liability awareness. Acts as a safety leader.</li>\n<li>Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.</li>\n<li>Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.</li>\n<li>Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.</li>\n<li>Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.</li>\n<li>Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.</li>\n<li>Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.</li>\n<li>Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates and roll-up doors to determine they are locked and secured.</li>\n<li>Notifies management immediately if any illegal activity is conducted during business hours.</li>\n<li>Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to management immediately.</li>\n<li>Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>SKILLS & ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> 1 year or more experience required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong>  Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and internet preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates & Licenses:</strong> CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Amount of Travel Required:</strong> 50% to 75%</p>",
