    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>If you are a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) looking to work part-time/pick up extra shifts, this unique position in our Float Pool is a perfect opportunity!&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Position Purpose:&nbsp;</strong>LPN's and MA's assist in providing excellent patient care by assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Hours/Shift:</strong> Part-Time/Days - Schedules vary by location</p><p><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong><i>We offer you an excellent total compensation package, including a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities:</i></p><ul><li>Paid Sick Time</li><li>403b Retirement Plan with Employer Contributions</li><li>Scholarship Program for qualified individuals pursuing a first degree in healthcare related field</li><li>On-Site Daycare, exclusive to our employees’ children of all ages</li><li>On-site Wellness Center with fitness classes, personal training, indoor pool, racquetball, and basketball courts</li><li>Employee Discounts and Employee Referral Bonus Program</li><li>As a not-for-profit organization, our employees who have qualified student loans may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program</li><li>And, so much more!</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>LPN</strong><ul><li>Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations.</li><li>Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures.</li><li>Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens, performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.</li><li>May perform venipuncture.</li></ul></li><li><strong>MA</strong><ul><li>Responsible for patient care under the direct supervision (in the office suite or exam room) of a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.</li><li>Escorts patient to the exam room and prepares patient for the exam including vital stats, history, and reason for seeking care.</li><li>Cross trains in data entry, balancing of accounts, charge fees and collect payments due&nbsp;Schedules/confirms appointments.</li><li>Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens, performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.</li><li>May perform venipuncture.</li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>LPN Candidates</strong><ul><li>Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program&nbsp;</li><li>High school or Equivalent</li><li>Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license</li><li><p>American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul></li><li><strong>MA Candidates</strong><ul><li>High School or Equivalent</li><li>American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification</li><li>DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card</li><li>Must meet&nbsp;<strong>one</strong>&nbsp;of the following criteria:<ol><li>Has attended a medical assistant training program accredited by one of the following:<ul><li>The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools;</li></ul></li><li>If your Medical Assistant program was not accredited by one of the above agencies, you will need to have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following. If needed, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.&nbsp;<ul><li>National Healthcareer Association: CCMA</li><li>American Medical Technologist: RMA</li><li>American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA</li><li>National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA</li><li>American Medical Certification Association: CMAC</li></ul></li><li>Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States</li></ol></li></ul></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Work Requirements: </strong>Must be able to distinguish appropriate colors, communicate using telephone, and able to consistently reach and/or work above and below shoulder level lifting up to 50 pounds. Capable of walking or being on feet 90% of time per day with frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, standing and sitting at desk 10% of the time per day.
