The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of production roll coaters, UV casting, HVAC and other mechanical systems at our site.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong></p><p>The essential functions listed below are representative of the functions that must be performed to satisfactorily fulfill the purpose of this job. &nbsp;Additional functions and duties may be assumed or assigned from time to time. &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of production roll coaters, UV casting, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.</li><li>Lead and manage the preventive maintenance program to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.</li><li>Diagnose equipment issues, coordinate repairs, and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize production disruptions.</li><li>Operate and provide operational support for vacuum coating, UV casting, and other relevant systems.</li><li>Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to ensure adequate stock levels for maintenance activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repairs.</li><li>Prepare maintenance reports and metrics to track performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal departments and external vendors, to coordinate maintenance activities, services, and support production goals effectively.</li></ul><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. &nbsp;The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this job.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Bachelor and/or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Millwright, or an equivalent certification or qualification.</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of related industrial experience.</li><li>Ability to interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and production documents.</li><li>Strong knowledge of health and safety including the handling, utilization and disposal of chemicals.</li><li>Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing machine function issues in an industrial setting.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, Teams, and Outlook.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ASSETS&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge and experience with vacuum coating, thin films, or industrial printing.</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.</li><li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing, ISO 9000, Health and Safety, SDS knowledge and material handling experience.</li><li>Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>N/A</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ABOUT THURSO</strong></p><p>Located along the Ottawa River, Thurso is easily accessible from Ottawa and Gatineau via Highway 50, or from East Ottawa using the Cumberland or Rockland ferries.
