Description
Celebrations Ltd. in Grand Cayman is currently seeking a Wedding and Special Events Planner who is open to relocating to Cayman Islands. This position will report to the Special Events Manager and oversee all events from conception through to completion and be responsible for seeking and obtaining local, social and corporate event business.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, design and plan weddings, private and corporate events according to budget.
Design and produce creative sales proposals to clients including preparation of concise quotes and final billing.
Costing and booking of products, vendors, venues and labour in accordance with budget demands.
Provide full on-site coordination of all events, working with design and production crews.
Develop sales strategies for increasing sales and conversion rates within the department.
Consistently provide a very high level of service.
Required Skills and Experience:
A Minimum of 2-5 years Wedding and Special Event Planning and Sales experience is an absolute must.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and coordinate various projects and teams simultaneously. Proven track record of strong selling and negotiating skills, with attention to detail. Ability to establish key contacts and generate business within the local corporate market. Positive interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and Party Cad. Ability to work in a high speed and high demand environment and meet tight deadlines. Be willing to work overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as required. The work environment will include working outdoors and in some cases, in hot or inclement weather conditions.
Required: Proof of vaccination, Clean driver’s license, own transportation and clean police clearance.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have the experience as mentioned as above and want to see a long-term career role and future, living in the Cayman Islands.
