    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The Respiratory Therapist performs both therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care<br>\n services necessary to improve and/or maintain an adequate oxygenation/acid-base balance.<br>\n The Therapist will develop and collaborate patient care with healthcare staff and physicians.<br>\n The Therapist will practice compliance with standard policies and procedures.</p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides respiratory care to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes<br>\n • Develops, implements, and/or adjusts orders based on patient assessment<br>\n and patient response to therapy<br>\n • Provides scheduled and emergency therapy and/or diagnostic tests to<br>\n patients/clients per policy and standard procedures<br>\n • Maintains accountability for patient care delegated or scheduled to others<br>\n • Communicates patient/family health care needs to the appropriate health care<br>\n provider<br>\n • Provides accurate and timely documentation in patient care records per<br>\n policy and standard procedures<br>\n • Communicates directly with appropriate health care team as needed<br>\n • Participates in team conferences and/or care coordination activities as needed</p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Associate's degree in respiratory therapy</p>\n<p><strong>License: </strong>Respiratory Care Practitioner or temporary permit issued by the MS State<br>\n Board of Health • Required: Certification• Certified Respiratory Therapist<br><strong>Experience: </strong>None</p>",
