Peregrine Team is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for a leading healthcare organization in Costa Mesa, CA. This position is fully on-site, with competitive pay, benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K), and additional incentives.
About the Role
On-site FMLA Exempt Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to leadership and employees by providing guidance, coaching, and support across a broad range of HR functions. This role will support both onsite and remote teams across multiple locations, partnering closely with leadership to drive employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is a trusted advisor with strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, and extensive knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities Partner with managers and leadership teams to provide HR guidance and support on employee relations matters, performance management, coaching, and organizational effectiveness Conduct and support complex employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions Advise leadership regarding performance deficiencies, policy violations, corrective actions, and workplace concerns Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations Support workforce planning, retention initiatives, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational development Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable HR programs and initiatives Analyze trends and metrics to support business decisions and identify process improvements Maintain strong partnerships with employees, leadership, and internal stakeholders Participate in HR-related projects, initiatives, and special assignments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field required Minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience required Minimum of 5 years of employee relations experience required Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, and workers’ compensation Experience conducting and managing complex employee relations investigations required Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills Experience with ATS, HRIS, or case management systems required; Oracle experience strongly preferred Preferred Qualifications Healthcare industry experience Master’s degree SPHR or SHRM-CP certification Experience supporting large or complex organizations Schedule Monday – Friday Standard business hours
