The Head Golf Course Superintendent will lead a team of approximately 20 staff members, along with overseeing third-party contractors, to ensure superb golf course conditioning on a daily basis. The Head Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the grounds and facility at the Golf Club.&nbsp;</p><p>Seeking a forward-thinking leader who is passionate about modern agronomy and embraces the rapidly evolving technology shaping today&rsquo;s golf course industry. Working with a diverse workforce and demonstrating a commitment to growing the game of golf, along with a relentless attention to detail.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Candidate Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will be a Golf Course Superintendent or 1<sup>st</sup> Assistant of a top-tier club with a minimum of 5 years of experience in this position.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Experience managing and controlling warm-season grasses maintained in Florida&rsquo;s climate.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">-&nbsp; Successful experience managing Paspalum grass preferred. FIC has 40 acres of Supreme Paspalum.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Understanding of all pest control techniques.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Experience in tree management, shrub, and native landscape.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Solid irrigation management philosophy and practices.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Strong agronomic skills and committed to the advancements in service and technology afforded to the industry.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Highly organized to lead a diverse workforce.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Experience in implementing capital budget plans.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Experience in developing standard training programs and operating procedures.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Working with all government and regulatory agencies&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Possess high ethical standards &ndash; sold work ethic and passion/commitment to the game of golf.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Candidate Qualifications (cont&rsquo;d):</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Strong budget and management skills.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Strong collaboration with Club leadership.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Ability to recruit, retain, and develop a strong workforce.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\">- Subscribes to sustainable turf and maintenance practices.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Manage and maintain the golf course and surrounding areas in pristine championship conditions.</li><li>Ensures the successful integration of the golf course and Maintenance facility into the overall operations of the Club.</li><li>Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent members satisfaction, and creates a positive atmosphere for others.</li><li>Maintain a daily management report outlining key facility statistics and a summary of daily operations.&nbsp;</li><li>Develops and maintains accurate facility maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair.</li><li>Manages supply inventories and purchasing control, including uniforms.</li><li>Assess, design, maintain Club-area landscaping and direct/supervise associated staff.</li><li>Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and products.</li><li>Ensures compliance with all Club policies, standards, and procedures by training, supervising, and hands-on management.</li><li>Maintain a comprehensive standard facility operation manual, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance.</li><li>Creates a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service standards.</li><li>Maintains a fully staffed facility by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training all staff.</li><li>Ensures the staff is fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops.</li><li>Assesses all employees&rsquo; progress continually, trains employees, leads employees with positive reinforcement, disciplines fairly and consistently, and completes annual performance evaluations.</li><li>Ensures compliance with all state licensing and health requirements.</li><li>Maintain complete, accurate, and updated records of staff, independent contractors, vendors, etc., including licenses, contracts, certificates of insurance, business licenses, etc.</li><li>Ensure budgetary and financial goals are attained, including expenses and labor management.</li><li>Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the completion of job duties related to matters of significance.</li><li>Complete all other tasks assigned to ensure operational excellence.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p><strong><u>Education and Certification Qualifications:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>A college degree in turf management or a related field of study. GCSAA Certification and Pesticide Certification are preferred.
