    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor, the Assistant Site Supervisor – Expanded Learning Programs (ELP) is responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor with the overall program management, participant supervision, program planning, and implementation of academic enrichment activities. The Assistant Site Supervisor will help manage safe, </p>\n<p>accurate, and efficient participant sign in/out procedures, and provide coaching and support for Youth Leader staff members. The Assistant Site Supervisor position requires high energy, dedication, patience, good communication skills, and a strong desire to mentor youth, strengthen families, and serve the community.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To learn more about YMCA Expanded Learning Programs CLICK HERE</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>For more on Employee Perks, click on this link: Employee Benefits | YMCA of San Diego County (ymcasd.org)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>SCHEDULE</u>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>M-F 6am – 8am and/or 1:30pm – 6pm</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>WORK DESIGNATION</u>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>In-Person</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in the planning, management, and implementation of program activities in accordance with the goals and policies of the ASES/21st CCLC grant, school district, collaborative partners, and the YMCA of San Diego County</li>\n <li>Supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times</li>\n <li>Provide positive behavior guidance that supports the developmental, social-emotional, and physical needs of all students</li>\n <li>Serve as lead staff of the expanded learning program in the absence of the Site Supervisor</li>\n <li>Actively recruit students and market expanded learning activities to ensure program capacity</li>\n <li>Collaborate with school and district personnel to align high quality academic activities and to develop and maintain positive relationships</li>\n <li>Assist with the on-site management of attendance data and procedures, program documents, student files, and other administrative duties as assigned</li>\n <li>Perform daily duties that ensure space is properly maintained, organized, clean, and safe</li>\n <li>Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act in an emergency situation</li>\n <li>Physical ability to lead activities such as sports, games, academic assistance, assemblies, transitions, and other program activities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This position occasionally requires travel throughout San Diego County. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><u> </u></p>\n<p><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li> This position includes supervisory responsibilities </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school diploma/GED</li>\n <li>One year experience in child and youth development, education, or comparable setting required</li>\n <li>Experience with TK to 8th graders preferred. </li>\n <li>Professional experience working in an after school program preferred. </li>\n <li>Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act in an emergency situation. </li>\n <li>Physical ability to lead activities such as sports, games, academic assistance, assemblies, transitions, and other program activities. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>PRE-HIRE CONTINGENCIES:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensing, state law and our funders require that applicants be fingerprinted, prior to reporting to work, and include subsequent arrest notifications</li>\n <li>Negative TB assessment or test results obtained within the past 60 days, prior to working on a school site, and every four (4) years thereafter </li>\n <li>CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire, and must be from one of the following certifying organizations: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety & Health Institute</li>\n <li>Completion of one of the following: \n  <ul>\n   <li>48 college credits at an institution of higher education</li>\n   <li>AA/AS degree, OR</li>\n   <li>Passing score on district’s Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>YMCA will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the San Diego County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act.
