We're seeking a creative, engaging <strong>Residential Mentor</strong> to join our <strong>Woodland Hills</strong> team during the afternoon shift—a prime time for meaningful client interaction!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This special shift schedule offers what many roles can't: dedicated time for genuine connection and innovative activities. As our Afternoon Residential Mentor, you'll have the freedom to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and lead beach excursions, scenic drives, and community explorations</li>\n <li>Connect clients with volunteer opportunities that spark passion</li>\n <li>Facilitate membership in local clubs and interest groups</li>\n <li>Create personalized experiences that inspire growth</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The afternoon schedule provides exceptional flexibility to bring your creative vision to life while making a profound difference for the young adults in our care. Your imagination and enthusiasm will help our clients discover new possibilities and build confidence as they work toward their dreams.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Optimum Performance Institute is a leader in young adult behavioral health services. If you're someone who thrives on meaningful connection and wants to use your creativity to transform lives, we want to meet you!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Build trusting relationships with residents, offering mentorship and guidance to foster personal growth, emotional regulation, and independence.</li>\n <li>Assist residents in setting and achieving meaningful goals while monitoring their participation in programs and activities to ensure safety and progress.</li>\n <li>Plan and lead group activities that promote community engagement, skill development, and wellness, collaborating with therapists and other professionals for a cohesive approach.</li>\n <li>Provide crisis intervention, document residents' progress and challenges, and maintain detailed records in compliance with OPI standards and privacy laws.</li>\n <li>Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development to stay current on best practices in mental health care.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> At least two years in a residential setting, mental health facility, or related field.</li>\n <li><strong>Skills:</strong> Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.</li>\n <li><strong>Requirements:</strong> Valid driver’s license, clean driving record eligible for company-paid auto insurance, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>\n <li><strong>Flexibility:</strong> Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Enjoy a comprehensive Benefits Program, encompassing medical insurance with a generous company contribution towards a high deductible plan, dental insurance, vision insurance, voluntary life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, 401K with company matching, and paid parental leave.</li>\n <li>Mastery Training and Development Program with a 2 year roadmap that leads to pay incentives & increases!</li>\n <li>Revel in the balance of Company Paid Holidays and a PTO accrual schedule.</li>\n <li>Become part of a team led by nationally recognized industry leaders, providing you with a framework of training, support, and long-term advancement opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Embark is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
