Adjunct faculty members teach on a semester-by-semester basis. They are expected to perform all instruction-related duties and responsibilities promptly and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of Goodwin University. Adjunct faculty members report to the Director/Coordinator, who serves under the direction of the Dean.</span></p>\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Abiding by and upholding Goodwin&rsquo;s mission, policies, and core values</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Completing required professional development (e.g., FERPA training)</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Teaching students in assigned course(s)</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Implementing assigned courses as designed and specified in approved syllabi.</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Using Canvas effectively</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Assigning grades based on specified criteria as delineated in course syllabi and posting the grades to Canvas and the University&rsquo;s data systems</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Being available to students for individual consultation</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Assisting students with how to be successful in a college class</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Communicating promptly with their director, students, and staff</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Meeting all course and semester timelines, including submitting attendance, mid-term grades, and final grades by the specified due dates</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\">Staying current within the field of study</span></li>\n</ul>\n\n<p style=\"margin-left:8px\">&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><strong><u>Other Functions</u></strong>:</p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.</li>\n\t<li>Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.</li>\n\t<li>Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong><u>Knowledge, Ability and Skill</u>:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Demonstrated commitment to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and work in an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.</li>\n\t<li>Ability to effectively communicate with&nbsp;colleagues and students.</li>\n</ul>\n",
