We are currently seeking an 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic at our Kalamazoo MI. In this lead position your responsibilities & activities will include: Troubleshoot simple machinery for faulty mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions and repair/replace as required. Request maintenance assistance when needed. Make minor machine repairs and/or adjustments whenever requested by Supervisor. Fabricate simple fixtures, parts, tools and support equipment by utilizing machine shop practices and equipment, i.e.: lathe, milling machines, drill presses, saws, welder, and hand tools. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics as necessary. Maintain all support machinery, i.e.: air compressors, cooling towers etc. From existing designs, manufacture specialized support machinery and parts as required or assigned. Perform simple electrical wiring on production, support building utilities (120V – 480V) three phase, and 120-volt single phases. Perform normal plumbing and carpentry work as needed. Repair material handling equipment and perform periodic preventive maintenance as directed. Order necessary parts and tools with approval of Supervisor. Maintain daily log of important job activities as information for subsequent shifts and management. Become completely familiar with all safety equipment and follow established safety practices at all times. Report all safety hazards or violations to Management promptly. Report all injuries immediately to Supervisor. Must adhere to Easypak G ood M anufacturing P ractices (GMP’s). Maintain a level of knowledge in all items as listed on skill sheet and attempt to advance this knowledge level.
