PDG is seeking Mechanical Engineer Manager to add to our growing and talented team.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and perform engineering evaluations and analyses, field inspections, design drawings, technical specifications and cost estimations.</li><li>Lead and perform standard mechanical engineering analysis of existing and new building mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems utilizing the latest codes and technologies to provide optimized designs.</li><li>Coach/Mentor junior staff as a technical expert.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of NYS Mechanical, Energy and Plumbing codes, NFPA.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively both written and verbally.</li><li>Energy Modeling experience (Carrier HAP, TRANE TRACE, or EQUEST), LEED Green Associate and Commissioning experience, preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience, Education, and Certification&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>BS in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology&nbsp;</li><li>NYS PE required</li><li>10-25 years of post-college design experience and 5 years of management experience</li><li>Specific areas of expertise include chilled and hot water systems, industrial process related mechanical, building HVAC, controls, plumbing systems and fire protection.</li><li>Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for schools, healthcare facilities and commercial projects is preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>A Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><ul><li>Professional in-office environment</li><li>May require travel to New York state job sites 10% of the time.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>The job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.</li><li>Travel may be required within NY State.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About Popli Design Group (PDG)</strong></p><p>PDG is a well-established multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm that has been serving clients since 1982.
