The University is currently home to more than 38,000 students with more than 15,000 faculty and staff. &nbsp;</p><p>The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine is one of the largest Gastroenterology and Hepatology centers in Canada. Its leading-edge research program is supported by more than $3 M annual research funding highlighted by the Centre of Excellence in Gastrointestinal Inflammation and Immunity Research (CEGIIR) and the GILDR clinical trials unit. The Division offers state of the art specialized multidisciplinary programs for patient care in fields such as chronic liver disease, liver transplantation, inflammatory bowel disease, advanced therapeutic endoscopy, enteral and parenteral nutrition services as well as gastrointestinal motility testing services.
