In this role, you’ll work with a highly enthusiastic team, contributing in a world-class manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico & USA.</p><p>Responsibilities: </p><ul><li><strong>Monitors and operates equipment and facilities, including field equipment, insuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.</strong></li><li>Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary.</li><li>Rotates through various roles within the area, including, in some cases, a control room rotation.</li><li><strong>Driving and operating agricultural machinery for planting and cultivating.</strong></li><li>The type of work assigned will vary based on the current season.</li><li>Spring and summer: You could spend time inspecting and maintaining our seed crops or you could support seed inventory management at the plant.</li><li>Fall is a busy season with harvesting and seed packaging in full swing.</li><li>You’ll be cleaning & packaging seed, supporting maintenance work, warehousing and shipping seed to ensure our customers have the product they need for the coming planting season.</li><li>September-October: Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading.</li><li>Complete a wide range of harvest activities: ex.: husk and sort operations</li><li>Operate dryer to dry crop within the prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements</li><li>Shelling and storage of crop from bins in the dryer facility</li><li>Supply the Conditioning department with a constant supply of seed</li><li>Apply appropriate treatment to seed</li><li>November-March: Label, tag, bag and palletize seed</li><li>Enter inventory information into computer</li><li>Stage seed for shipment in warehouse<br>April -August:</li><li>Retag in-house seed.</li><li>Re-bag backhaul (returned) seed</li><li>Inspect pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean</li><li>Wash pro boxes as necessary</li></ul><p>Qualifications:  </p><ul><li>High School Diploma</li><li>Experience required (Excavator or Digger Operator).</li><li>Availability to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays.</li><li>Knowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations</li><li>Pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings</li><li><strong>Knowledge and experience operating scissor lifts and aerial lifts</strong></li><li><strong>Bobcat operator experience</strong></li><li><strong>Digger operator experience</strong></li><li><strong>Boom lift operator experience</strong></li><li><strong>Location: Aibonito, P.R.
