This position is critical to throughput in medical floors. Apply now and be a part of something extraordinary at Johns Hopkins Intrastaff!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in coping with the challenges of caring for a child, managing their illness, hospitalization or outpatient treatment plan</li>\n <li>Support families (children, parents, grandparents, siblings) encountering a crisis, experiencing grief and bereavement or adjusting to a diagnosis</li>\n <li>Help the family and child gain a better understanding of the illness and what to expect while receiving treatment</li>\n <li>Discuss illness and/or hospitalization with the child and their family</li>\n <li>Advocate for the needs of the child and family with the medical team (doctors, nurses, therapists) to promote family-centered care</li>\n <li>Develop pre- and posthospitalization care plans</li>\n <li>Promote a safe family environment</li>\n <li>Refer to community agencies for material assistance, including temporary lodging or resources needed to support a safe discharge plan</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>MS Social Work from an accredited school of social work.</li>\n <li>Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW or LCSW-C level.</li>\n <li>Must have Epic Experience </li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience </li>\n <li>Experience with Hospital and Pediatrics experience required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
