      "text": "Essential Duties and Responsibilities",
      "content": "<li>With others, develop, implement, maintain, and evaluate age and culturally appropriate experiential learning curriculum.</li><li>Develop or resource activities that improve skills, build self-confidence and cultivate a love of learning, e.g., critical thinking skills. Lead classes, outdoor activities and field trips.</li><li>Ensure the preparation of healthy snacks/meals while maintaining all food safety prep/cleanliness protocols.</li><li>Ensure positive social development by creating safe physical, social and emotional learning environments at all times.</li><li>Maintain a safe Program. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect children, equipment, materials, and classrooms both indoors and outdoors. Ensure all learning areas are clean and orderly at all times.</li><li>Establish and promote productive relationships with parents/guardians that support Program goals and FYCC’s mission.</li><li>Assist with planning and implementing Special Events.</li><li>Assist the Childcare Site Supervisor/Director by preparing documentation and meeting all reporting requirements as needed; including but not limited to child assessments and portfolios, monthly sign in/out sheets, ETO data requirements.</li><li>Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, attending and actively participating in staff and individual meetings.</li>"

      "text": "Supervisory Responsibilities",
      "content": "<li>Directly supervise volunteers and interns. Assist with training and ensure standards and practices are adhered to at all times.</li><li>Plan, assign, direct, and evaluate staff’s work. Provide ongoing feedback and assist with goals work and annual performance reviews.</li>"

      "content": "<li>Must be able to receive Dept. of Justice Fingerprint clearance.</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to empowering children. Has the ability to foster a love of learning, cultivate self-esteem, and develop a sense of civic responsibility.</li><li>Leadership and supervisory skills and experiences.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and within a team approach. Understanding of when to consult and ask for guidance.</li><li>Strong organization and planning abilities. Has the ability to prioritize work and the ability to multi-task within specific timelines.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, grammar, spelling and writing.</li><li>Strong understanding of what comprises confidential issues and materials, demonstrated ability to consistently act with discretion.</li><li>Ability to establish effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.</li><li>This person is reflective. This person models appropriate interactions, including factual commenting, redirecting behavior, and problem solving.</li><li>This person takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect children, staff and volunteers, equipment, materials and facilities.</li><li>Has the ability to work effectively across all cultures.</li><li>Commitment to the mission, values and philosophy of GLIDE.</li>"

      "text": "Education and/or Experience",
      "content": "<li>Some college experience and 3+ years’ experience teaching or working with children; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>2+ years’ adult supervisory experience and experience supervising large groups of children (15-40) preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience developing curriculum and programs for children.</li><li>Experience working in a community-based social service agency with people in relationship with homelessness and poverty and the problems that often come alongside these experiences.</li>"

      "content": "<li>Must pass tuberculosis screening.</li><li>Must show proof of pertussis, influenza and measles immunizations.</li><li>Must have/complete CPR and First Aid Training.</li>"

Good general health, physical stamina, and emotional stability are essential.</li><li>Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). For example, equipment/tools typically found in a childcare center.</li><li>Activities that occur frequently are:&nbsp; periods of standing, walking, repetitive bending, lifting, carrying, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching straight, above, and below shoulder level. Activities that occur occasionally are: climbing staircases.</li><li>Able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry a child in the event of an emergency.</li><li>Ability to move about the building and community as needed. Ability to move quickly to address emergencies or potentially dangerous situations. Must possess the ability to safely interact with traffic as a pedestrian. The Lead Teacher is required to accompany program participants to off-site locations and to participate in indoor and outdoor activities and field trips. This person must be able to drive a GLIDE vehicle.</li>"
