Belong.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Emory Orthopedics has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) focused on ongoing orthopedic care in an inpatient setting at Emory Orthopedic & Spine Hospital.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This inpatient role will include rounding on general orthopedic post-op patients, consults on floor and in ED.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our APP's are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academics health care system. Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits that start day 1</li>\n <li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs</li>\n <li>Family-focused benefits</li>\n <li>Wellness incentives</li>\n <li>Ongoing mentorship, development,<em> </em>leadership programs...and more</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Advanced Practice Providers assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including cast application and removal, wound suturing and dressing changes.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.</li>\n <li>Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.</li>\n <li>Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.</li>\n <li>Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays.</li>\n <li>Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.</li>\n <li>Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).</li>\n <li>Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.</li>\n <li>May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.</li>\n <li>BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.</li>\n <li>ACLS may be required in some areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOIN OUR ORTHOPEDICS APP TEAM TODAY!</strong> Emory Healthcare (EHC), part of Emory University (EUV), is the most comprehensive academic health system in Georgia and the first and only in Georgia with a Magnet® designated ambulatory practice.
