Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Schedule</p>\n<p>Full Time, Day Shift</p>\n<p>7:00am-5:30pm</p>\n<p>Rotating Weekends </p>\n<p>On-Call one night a week and one weekend a month</p>\n<p>$20,000 Sign-on Bonus</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification/Registry:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Registered radiographer (ARRT-R) in good standing or registry eligible. If not otherwise specified by the professional licensing body, the maximum allowable time to practice in a “registration pending” status is three months.</li>\n <li>Has successfully completed Radiography accreditation procedures with the IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety, but has not received the certificate of accreditation.</li>\n <li>Maintain BLS CPR Certification.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operational background and / or experience with microcomputers, required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Under the supervision of a licensed Rad Tech performs a variety of Interventional/Neuro-Interventional procedures on patients of all ages, according to established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Maintains technical skills relating to imaging factors.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Reviews scout films and subtraction films for quality and completion.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Maintains skills in performing emergency and routine patient care as required.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values:</li>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong><u>SAFETY:</u></strong> <em>Prevent Harm</em> - I put safety first in everything I do. I prevent defects and delays.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Operates radiographic equipment / controls to produce optimal diagnostic image quality.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Operates non-radiographic equipment including EKG monitor, patient monitors, pulse oximeter, intra-arterial pressure monitor, oxygen and suction.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Maintains adequate level of inventory and notify clinical specialist of needs or changes.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Practices proper aseptic technique and utilize proper infection control practices.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Follows radiation safety guidelines.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Remains current in life support procedures and current CPR certification. </li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Assists and / or administer contrast media / pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a Radiologist.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Remains proficient in diagnostic procedures and assist when possible.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Participates in continuing education and maintain knowledge of current and new technology.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Maintains an excellent guest relations rapport with patients, visitors, Physicians and fellow employees.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Schedules patient exams and coordinate with emergency room and Physicians' offices.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Reviews all special procedure requisitions for accuracy and completion.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Ensures radiology information system patient / exam data is maintained accurately and processed in a timely manner.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<li>Performs other related work as required or requested.</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
