You will play a key role in developing team capability, maintaining technical quality, and supporting the successful delivery of customer-focused solutions.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role would suit candidates with a strong background in software development and experience in leading or mentoring engineers, who are looking to take the next step in a structured and professional environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location…</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role is based in our head office in Bracknell, Berkshire.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities of the role…</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Leadership &amp; Management:</span></p>\n<p>Line-manage a team of Software Engineers, including performance reviews and development planning</p>\n<p>Support recruitment activities and onboarding of new team members</p>\n<p>Manage performance and provide guidance to support individual and team development</p>\n<p>Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team environment</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Delivery &amp; Planning:</span></p>\n<p>Oversee the delivery of software development work to agreed timelines and quality standards</p>\n<p>Support resource planning and workload management in collaboration with Product Owners</p>\n<p>Facilitate agile ceremonies including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives</p>\n<p>Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Oversight &amp; Quality:</span></p>\n<p>Maintain awareness of the technical quality of systems owned by the team</p>\n<p>Support the design and architectural direction of more complex initiatives</p>\n<p>Ensure development outputs are well-structured, maintainable, and aligned with standards</p>\n<p>Drive improvements to development processes, methodologies, and tooling</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Software Development Lifecycle:</span></p>\n<p>Contribute to development activities where appropriate, including coding, design, and testing</p>\n<p>Support the deployment of new releases and updates to live environments</p>\n<p>Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained and shared</p>\n<p>Guide the team through all stages of the software development lifecycle</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuous Improvement &amp; Collaboration:</span></p>\n<p>Contribute to cross-team and departmental initiatives</p>\n<p>Identify opportunities to improve team performance, processes, and delivery</p>\n<p>Encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration within and across teams</p>\n<p>Support the ongoing development of technical and professional skills within the team</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About you…</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent experience</p>\n<p>Strong experience in software development in a commercial environment (typically 4+ years)</p>\n<p>Experience leading, mentoring, or managing software engineers</p>\n<p>Experience with programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript</p>\n<p>Strong understanding of software development principles, architecture, and best practices</p>\n<p>Experience with relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)</p>\n<p>Familiarity with source control systems and CI/CD pipelines</p>\n<p>Ability to contribute to technical design and architectural discussions</p>\n<p>Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly</p>\n<p>Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities</p>\n<p>A collaborative and professional approach to leadership and teamwork</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Company…</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Content Guru is the largest privately owned provider of Customer Experience (CX) and Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) in Europe.
