Responsibilities Safely manage warehouses ensuring all warehouse staff and employees follow all safety protocols and complete all required safety training and attend routine safety meetings Establish / maintain operating schedules and routine practices to ensure on-time customer shipments Manage the processes and KPIs associated with the shipping and receiving of product to ensure product integrity and order filling accuracy Manage monthly cycle counts Use interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce and drive execution of policies and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met Maintain ISO level operation guidelines and metrics Coordinates the training and development of employees. Includes identifying development needs, implementing programs as required, carefully monitoring progress, and coordinating with Logistics Manager Make recommendations to management for Continuous Improvement opportunities and instill an entrepreneurial spirit within the company, encouraging the same among direct reports Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company Follows all company policies Performs other duties as assigned COMPETENCIES: Coaching - Able to guide employees in their development and help them assume their responsibilities. Establishes relationships of trust to get employees to identify and meet their developmental needs. Collaboration - Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive partnerships or network of stakeholders who can contribute to driving business results. Change Management - Can manage and facilitate the process of change, while helping others to adapt to it’s effects. Encompasses the ability to implement a set of conditions favorable to change. Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations. Managerial Courage - Ability to face adversity, take risks, step out of comfort zone while making decisions or taking actions that are unpopular, uncomfortable but essential. Can drive accountability while being respectful. Team Development- Ability to build a strong and cohesive team, assign them roles based on strengths and develop them to meet the employee and company goals. Develop employees to their fullest potential. Creates a sense of belonging and inclusion. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: BS degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Proactive, attentive to details, and results oriented Three years supervisor or management experience in a warehouse environment SAP experience preferred Demonstrate proficiency in the use of standard office machines and computer software including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint Ability to work outside normal business hours including evenings, nights, and weekends Ability to maintain confidentiality as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects or tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, smell. The employee must periodically lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently climb up to three levels above floor level. Work environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time; dust; heat; humidity, odors. The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas. The employee is frequently exposed to extremely high-speed machinery with open inward turning rolls, extremely hot surface areas and moving lift truck traffic.
