    "description": "<p>Overflow Custodian Job Description<br>Location: Overflow Church, 210 West Napier Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022<br>Position Type: Part-Time (15–17 hours per week)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Overview:<br>Overflow Church is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and<br>sanitation of our church building. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and safe environment for our<br>congregation and guests.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:<br> Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors<br> Sweep, mop, and vacuum all flooring surfaces<br> Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately, replace with new trash bags<br> Wipe down surfaces in common areas, including the lobby, sanctuary, classrooms, stairwells, green room,<br>lounge, and offices<br> Clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors as needed<br> Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and fellowship hall areas<br> Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.)<br> Monitor and report building maintenance needs or damage<br> Water and tend to landscaping/plants around the building as needed<br> Prepare facility for services, events, and gatherings as needed<br> Change out words on the road sign as needed</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications:<br> Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required<br> Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently<br> Ability to manage time efficiently and follow a cleaning schedule<br> Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive tasks<br> Trustworthy and dependable, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respect for the church<br>environment</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Schedule:<br>• Part-time, 15–17 hours per week.  Some weeks may be a slightly more due to busy season.<br>• Flexible schedule, with availability needed before and/or after services and special events</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
