Description

Description The Team Leader, Custodial is responsible for overseeing the custodial operations of a number of J.D. Irving, Limited properties in Saint John, NB, including our head office. This role will ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment and requires leadership skills to manage a team of custodial staff and contractors effectively and to maintain high quality of work. Responsibilities Oversee a team of 17 individuals at the head office building Supervise and coordinate the activities of custodial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Plan and prioritize daily custodial tasks such as cleaning offices, common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces. Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate replenishment as needed. Respond to feedback and address concerns from building occupants regarding custodial services. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies related to custodial operations. Qualifications Education Required: High School Diploma or Trade Certification 5+ years of experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders Ability to work evenings, shift is 3:00pm to 11:00pm Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Organization Irving Business Services is a vital support function within J.D.
