You will deliver outstanding care by assisting with various daily activities and managing the overall well-being of clients. Treating our clients like family is a core value at TheKey, and we encourage our caregivers to go above and beyond to improve their quality of life. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a caregiver, you are making a real and meaningful difference in the lives of your clients and their families. We are seeking professional, compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide live-in care for our clients. Live- in care is defined as a 24-hour shift but the caregiver gets 6 - 8 hours of sleep at night and 4 hours of break time during the day. The care giver stays in the client's home anywhere from 2-5 days a week, and meals and a place to sleep are provided. For this type of shift, caregivers will be paid a flat rate, not an hourly rate.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, and grooming </li>\n <li>Cooking and nutritional guidance </li>\n <li>Transportation services </li>\n <li>Light housekeeping services and laundry </li>\n <li>Medication reminders </li>\n <li>Exercise and physical assistance </li>\n <li>Conversation, companionship, and mental stimulation</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Who You Are: </strong></p>\n<p>You are a compassionate professional with a profound desire to make a difference. Every day, you strive to impact positively on the lives of those you serve. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Certifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have some form of training, eg. Nursing</li>\n <li>High school or college diploma </li>\n <li>Must have at least 2-3 years of experience caring for the elderly and preferably have experience dealing with Clients with dementia </li>\n <li>Must have a good command of English and be able to converse with ease on a wide variety of topics </li>\n <li>No history of criminal background </li>\n <li>Passionate about providing care for elders </li>\n <li>Must be compassionate, honest, reliable, confident, and highly sociable </li>\n <li>Must feel confident in your ability to engage the Client in activities and conversation </li>\n <li>Must be able to cook </li>\n <li>Proof of eligibility to work in Canada </li>\n <li>3 professional references including telephone numbers </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to reliably travel to client homes and office location(s) </li>\n <li>Ability to safely perform client transfers with weight-bearing requirements, contingent upon client condition and needs </li>\n <li>Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday</li>\n</ul>",
