From engineering to quality assurance to data science, the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h3>Description</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Key Responsibilities\n  <ul>\n   <li>Design and build AWS serverless components using Lambda, Step Functions, API Gatewayand related services.</li>\n   <li>Develop backend services and components using Python, TypeScript, and SQL.</li>\n   <li>Write and optimize SQL for data access and reporting workloads; Snowflake experience is aplus.</li>\n   <li>Implement AI-driven solutions to extract business logic from legacy code, generate newreport parameter screens and metadata, and perform logic validation.</li>\n   <li>Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams on architecture androadmap execution.</li>\n   <li>Contribute to code quality, testing, performance tuning, logging, monitoring, andobservability.</li>\n   <li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to continuously improve theplatform.</li>\n   <li>Drive technical project strategy, lead large-scale ML infrastructure optimization, and oversee the design and implementation of state-of-the-art GenAI solutions.</li>\n   <li>Leverage modern orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, semantic routers) to coordinate multi-step, tool-augmented workflows.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3>Minimum Qualifications</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 5+ years of relevant and related work experience.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.</li>\n <li>Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for backend development.</li>\n <li>Strong SQL foundation; comfort with complex transformations.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated AI engineering experience, such as LLM integration, embeddings, or AI-driven code workflows.</li>\n <li>Experience building distributed systems, data-intensive applications, or modernizing legacysystems.</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to dive deep into complex logic.</li>\n <li>Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouse experience.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks.</li>\n <li>Experience with AI automation tools, code-gen frameworks, or metadata extractionpipelines.</li>\n <li>Strong communication and collaborative engineering habits.</li>\n <li>Some basic understanding and experience of Data Science Algorithms</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation & Benefits</h2> \n<h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3> \n<p>PowerSchool offers the following benefits:</p> \n<ul> \n <li>Comprehensive Insurance Coverage (including Medical, Dental, Vision, Pharmacy benefits, Life Insurance and AD&D)</li> \n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts</li> \n <li>Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability</li> \n <li>Comprehensive 401(k) plan</li> \n <li>Generous Parental Leave</li> \n <li>Unrestricted paid time off (known as Discretionary Time Off - DTO)</li> \n <li>Wellness Program, including ClassPass & Employee Assistance Program</li> \n <li>Tuition Reimbursement</li> \n <li>Optional Benefits: Pet Insurance, Identity Theft Protection, Student Debt Repayment Program and Prepaid Legal coverage</li> \n</ul> \n<p>A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $79,700 - $136,800 USD.
